For playa barter gifts I made some stickers
based on the Burning Man logo.
I thought it was about time that we see a female version
of this symbol. I got an excellent respsonse to the stickers
as well as the story behind the name.

I met a lovely woman whose brother had recently passed away.
We were able to connect and process the pain and sadness and
wound up laughing at the end. Healing is where it's at.

In the past year or so, I have really been thinking about this name...Xenira. It is so special to me and I want to keep the name alive, which was my primary reason for creating this site.

This year the theme at Burning Man was "Beyond Belief," a very spiritual theme that is in alignment with where I'm at on my path in life; spiritual development and cosmic introspection.

As I was preparing for the event this year, I considered which aspects of spirituality I would like to embody. I considered ancient deities, as well as contemporary concepts and ideals. I thought about what spirituality means to me when stripped of the dogma of organized religion. What came next was a surge of knowing that I was to embody "Xenira, Goddess of Dreams and Awakening. "

At the time, I was looking at it in terms of what happens when we pursue our dreams, our heart's desire, and manifest them into reality. We awaken to who we really are and then we can flow within divine synchronistic bliss...something that I have experienced first-hand, so the concept of "creating one's own reality" is very real to me, indeed. Only later did the second meaning become clear: Vaughn had been dreaming in his coma state when he remembered the name and when he awoke, he was able to share it with me.

It is such a treasure to have been given the gift of having my brother return from that far away place and that he brought this name back and shared it with me is such a profound blessing; especially considering the doctors said he would never be able to speak again. A very special name, indeed.
