CASSEL FAMILY:
Mom, Shirley- age 62
Brother, Gerry Jr- age 34
Nephew, Gerry III- age 6
Step-Father, Gerry Sr.-age 60

Gerry Sr. and I got married 5-1-72 in Mason, Michigan when Buffy was 4 years old. He was in the army and stationed at fort Knox, Kentucky. Buffy started kindergarten in a civilian school on post where we lived. We only lived there 5 or 6 months and moved to Lansing, Michigan, Gerry's and my home town. That is where Buffy's brother was born on 6-11-74. Buffy and I were hoping for a girl. The day I came home from the hospital I called Buffy and said, “You know you have a boy??” She said, “I know bring him home so I can see him.” She met me at the back door and took him in her arms and carried him into the living room and unwrapped him checking him all over and held him for about 20 minutes. I said, “Well what do you think??” She said, “He is cute so let's keep him.” and went outside to play. She bonded with her brother that day. Buffy was 6 and half when she became a big sister to Gerald Alan Cassel Jr. And on 6-12-02 Buffy became an aunt to nephew Gerald Alan Cassel III. And the Cassel family now had 3 Gerrys. Today if you call the Cassel house and ask for Gerry you have to say which one because there are 3.

From Buffy's Mom, Shirley Cassel

I would like to say hi too all the wonderful people who were in my daughters live and loved her.

I have wonderful child hood stories of her. we kind of went separateways after she graduated high school. She was one of a kind, my Buffy, and I really admired her as a woman and friend and loving daughter. It is amazing that her friends are still remembering her. I have a burning hole in my heart that will never stop loving her and missing her and talking to her on the phone for hours at times. I do believe I will see her again in Heaven one day that hope keeps me sane.

Thanks again,
Shirley Cassel

Here is what I call these 3 Gerry Cassels:
